Leader
Draws a multileader annotation: an arrowhead tip, a leader line, a dogleg, and a text label.
How to use
- Activate by typing
mleaderin the terminal or clicking the Leader toolbar button. - Click the arrowhead tip — the point the arrow will touch.
- Click the leader end point (dogleg) — the elbow of the leader line. Angle locking snaps to 45° increments.
- Click the text position — where the text label begins. Angle locking applies here too.
- Type the label text and press Enter to place the leader.
Press Escape at any time to cancel.
Angle locking
When the cursor moves far enough from the previous point, the leader snaps to the nearest 45° axis (0°, 45°, 90°, 135°, …). While locked, you can type an exact length and press Enter to step to the next point at that distance.
Notes
- A blinking cursor in the prompt indicates the text-input phase.
- The text must be non-empty before Enter will place the leader.
- To add an extra arm to an existing leader, use the Leader+ command.
