Privacy Policy

The short version
- Your drawings are stored in your browser and never leave your device. All your work belongs to you.
- There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no email. We do not know who you are.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and understand which features are used. It never sees your drawing content.
- The app is free and funded by ads (Google AdSense). Your drawings are never used for advertising, and we never sell your data.
Your drawings stay on your device
Everything you draw in KulmanLab CAD is saved to your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) on your own device. Drawings are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server. After the first load the app works fully offline — no server is involved in opening, editing, or saving your files.
Because your files exist only in your browser, you are in full control of them. You can delete individual drawings from the Files panel, erase everything at once with the wipestorage command, or clear the site data in your browser settings. We cannot access, restore, or delete your files for you — we never have them.
No accounts, no personal data
KulmanLab has no login, no registration, and no email collection. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other information that identifies you personally, and we have nothing to sell or share.
Analytics
This website (kulmanlab.com) and the app (app.kulmanlab.com) use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage metrics. This tells us things like how many people visit, which pages they read, what country they are in (approximate, derived from the IP address — Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses), and what browser and device type they use.
On the website we also record a few anonymous interaction events:
- clicks on "Launch App" and similar buttons,
- clicks on outbound links (the destination address of the link),
- how far down a page you scroll, and the interface language you use.
None of this includes your drawing content, file names, or anything you create in the app. Analytics data is processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising
The app (app.kulmanlab.com) is free to use and is funded by ads served through Google AdSense. This website (kulmanlab.com) does not show ads.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to show you ads based on your visits to the app and/or other sites on the Internet. Ads are selected by Google — they never see your drawing content, file names, or anything you create in the app.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party advertising cookies more broadly at aboutads.info (or youronlinechoices.eu in Europe). How Google uses data from sites that show its ads is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Cookies and local storage
Two kinds of cookies are used. Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_* on both the website and the app — they contain a random identifier that distinguishes browsers so that repeat visits are not counted as new visitors, expire after up to two years, and cannot be used to identify you personally. In the app, Google AdSense and its advertising partners set additional advertising cookies to serve and measure ads, as described in the Advertising section above. There are no social-media cookies, and the website itself sets no advertising cookies.
In addition, the website remembers your language preference and the app stores your drawings and undo history in browser local storage. This data never leaves your device.
Third-party services
Besides Google Analytics and Google AdSense, KulmanLab relies on two infrastructure services:
- Google Fonts — the Inter font is loaded from Google's servers. Your browser sends a standard web request (including your IP address) to Google to fetch the font files.
- Firebase Hosting (Google) — serves this website and the app. Like any web server, it processes standard request logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent) to deliver the pages.
Your choices
If you prefer not to be counted in analytics, you can block the Google Analytics cookies in your browser, use a content blocker, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The website and the app work exactly the same without analytics.
For advertising, you can turn off ad personalization in Google Ads Settings — you will still see ads in the app, but they will not be based on your interests or browsing history.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change — for example, if a new third-party service is added — this page will be updated and the date at the top revised.
